New roasting process

Multiple impregnation-roasting process

To produce high-density and high-strength graphite products, in order to increase the density of the products, impregnation is required after roasting. In order to improve the roasting efficiency, the products after impregnation can be roasted at low temperature during the second or multiple roasting. Only the initial carbonization of the impregnated pitch is required, so it can be appropriate Shorten the calcination curve, after the last calcination, send it to the graphitization furnace for graphitization, then good results can be achieved.

Because the roasting temperature after immersion is different from that of first roasting, the products to be roasted after immersion can be roasted in a simpler roasting furnace, and the bulk density can reach 1.80-1.85g/cm3, even greater than 1.90g. /cm3. Ordinary carbon graphite materials do not have high requirements for bulk density. Therefore, the immersion and baking process is generally not used. Although the method of immersion can provide the compactness and bulk density of the product, multiple immersion and baking are time-consuming and labor-intensive. economic.

Pressure roasting process

For the production of high-density and high-strength carbon graphite materials, in addition to the use of large-scale presses, the pressure roasting process can increase the density of the products. The first roasting can reach 1.75g/cm3 or more, while the bulk density of ordinary roasting products is below 1.6g/cm3 , Because pressure roasting can increase the amount of coking out of the binder or impregnant, thereby increasing the density.

The product is heated and roasted under a certain pressure, which can shorten the roasting time, and the rapid temperature rise rarely causes the product to crack. At present, there are many ways of pressure roasting.

(1) Gas pressure roasting

(2) Air pressure and mechanical pressure roasting at the same time
