Classification of carbon materials by use and production process

(1) Graphite electrodes. It mainly includes ordinary power graphite electrodes, high power graphite electrodes, ultra-high power graphite electrodes, anti-oxidation coated graphite electrodes, graphitized blocks, and natural graphite electrodes produced with natural graphite as the main raw material.

(2) Graphite anode. Including anode plates, anode rods, and large cylindrical anodes used in various solution electrolysis and molten salt electrolysis.

(3) Carbon electrode. It mainly includes carbon electrodes produced with high-quality anthracite as the main raw material, carbon anodes for aluminum electrolytic cells produced with petroleum coke as the main raw material, and carbon lattice bricks for the power supply and magnesia industry produced with pitch coke as the main raw material.

(4) Carbon blocks. It mainly includes carbon blocks for iron-making blast furnaces, anode carbon blocks for aluminum reduction cells, lining carbon blocks for ferroalloy furnaces, calcium carbide furnaces and other submerged electric furnaces, and carbon blocks for graphitization furnaces and silicon carbide furnaces.

(5) Charcoal paste. It mainly includes electrode paste, anode paste and paste used for bonding or filling joints when building carbon blocks.

(6) High purity, high density and high strength graphite. It mainly includes high-purity graphite, high-strength high-density graphite and high-density isotropic graphite.

(7) Special carbon and graphite. Mainly include pyrolytic carbon and pyrolytic graphite, porous carbon and porous graphite, glassy carbon and recrystallized graphite.

(8) Wear-resistant carbon and graphite for machinery industry. It mainly includes seal rings, bearings, piston rings, slides and blades of some rotating machinery used in many mechanical equipment.

(9) Carbon and graphite products for electrical engineering. Mainly include brushes of motors and generators, pantograph sliders of trolleybuses and electric locomotives, carbon resistors of certain voltage regulators, carbon parts in telephone transmitters, arc carbon rods, carbon arc gouging carbon rods And battery carbon rods.

(10) Graphite chemical equipment (also called impermeable graphite). It mainly includes various heat exchangers, reaction tanks, condensers, absorption towers, graphite pumps and other chemical equipment.

(11) Carbon fiber and its composite materials. It mainly includes 3 varieties of pre-oxidized fiber, carbonized fiber and graphitized fiber, as well as carbon fiber and various resins, plastics, ceramics, metals, etc. to form various forms of composite products.

(12) Graphite intercalation compound (also known as intercalation graphite). There are mainly 3 varieties of flexible graphite, graphite-halogen interlayer compound and graphite-metal interlayer compound. Expanded graphite produced from natural graphite as a sealing gasket has been widely used.
